Richihuahua Caliente: Collect Coins and Crack Open Golden Snacks for 5,000x Rewards

Playtech put its back into making a chihuahua come to life. Richihuahua Caliente puts out a five-reel three-row grid, and 40 paylines topped out with a 5,000x reward, and for me, a session that just felt good to play.
Whether collars, hydrants, or dog houses, something was almost always provided in my base game, it just didn’t take me out of the 1x to 2x range.
Meanwhile, Cash Prize symbols in four colors kept landing on their own, each one feeding the matching Special Prize above the reels by 0.1x, or 0.25x for yellow. On their own, they don’t pay anything, but when the wild lands, it collects and awards the total value of all Cash Prize symbols on the grid.
The chihuahua is the Wild, and it’s got its own stage, appearing only in one exact spot at the middle of the grid, the Hot Zone. When it lands, all the coin values are fetched. The wild hit twice in my base game and secured 4x and 6x returns. By then, a +1x symbol had already bumped my multiplier up to 3x, just waiting to be of practical use.
There’s also an X symbol that can land and multiply every coin on the grid in one go. At one point, the paw print bonus hit at the same time as the chihuahua and triggered the Richihuahua Respins.
Starting with three respins, my 3x multiplier carried over, and every new coin was getting multiplied instantly. Then a +1x took it to 4x, coins kept resetting the spins, and it ended up paying 55x my bet.
About 10 spins later, the Golden Snack feature couldn’t help but join the play. Basically, you pick dog food cans until three matching biscuits reveal one of four Special Prizes that have been growing all session. Add it all up, respins plus the snack, and the total reached 67x my bet.
You can buy your way into the respins with a starting multiplier, but I skipped it, since our mascot was belly-full.
All in all, while I went in thinking it’d be a good one, it ended up better. The steady buildup with the multiplier keeps things interesting, and you’re always watching that one spot hoping the chihuahua lands. And when it does, it actually pays off.
PROS - Persistent multiplier system
- Frequent cash coin prizes
- 5,000x max win
CONS - Wild is locked to one position
Mahjong Magic
from a technical side everything runs smooth, no issues there. still, the voice lines get a bit repetitive after a while. finished my session slightly down after a x3 cascade win that paid around €18 on a €5 bet.
Fish Trio
i like the sticky symbols feature, it can build momentum if it lands at the right time. still, it took quite a while before i saw any real bonus, so balance was going up and down a lot.
Full Moon White Thunder
not a bad slot but feels very similar to other hold and win games i tried before. the sticky moons can help build decent wins, but i had many dead spins too. best bonus paid me about $95 from a $5 bet.
Gold Trio Calacamania
The day of the dead style is well done, but the gameplay didn’t feel very rewarding long term. The Coloured Coins and respin mechanics are interesting, and I liked how different modifiers can trigger. My beest hit was around 95x during respins.
Ultra Ace
i like how the golden symbols can turn into wilds, it gave me a few extra wins during longer sessions. still, it took quite a lot of spins before i reached free spins, so balance was going up and down a lot.
Silver Bullet Bandit Collect Em
the wild west setup looks good and the fast spins make it easy to play for longer, but i could really feel the low rtp after a while. had a small 152x win from the feature but balance still dropped pretty quick on $5 spins.
